Solar Eclipse 2010 in Sri Lanka

As many of you might already know, the first solar eclipse for the year is on January 15th. This will be visible in Northern Sri Lanka, a part of the country that was not accessible to public until recently due to the end of a 30 year long civil war.

A group of Sri Lankan astro bloggers will be traveling to Northern Sri Lanka to bring this event live via web-streaming at SkyLK.com website. For more details see:

This will be a historical moment as it will be the first time most of them are traveling to North Sri Lanka. It is a perfect opportunity to celebrate Peace in Sri Lanka through this natural phenomenon – Annular Solar Eclipse 2010
