Tonight the Cyprus Astronomical Society are holding a star party at the square of Peristerona, near Nicosia and Kokkinotrimithia at 9pm. So if anyone is in the area there will be telescopes available to the public for viewing Jupiter, a gibbous Moon and the Persied Meteor shower is due to reach its peak this evening.
And following the saga of my Perseid hunting I will be sure to catch some of those elusive meteors!

Thanks for the info. I got curious from the google logo and just a few click i stubbled here. I was at the party, got a good view of Jupiter and the moon, no shower though. Maybe early morning, just before dawn.
