The school term here in the UK is beginning to wrap up and teachers, and science educators are getting ready to wind down for the holidays. Next week I’ll be acting as a science ambassador visiting a secondary school for an event where the students will be spending a day learning about local scientists throughout the ages and will then have to present a performance about what they have learnt. I already have a few ideas about what the students can do, so I’m using my time putting a paper together on the recent findings on peculiar galaxies.
Whist searching through the archives I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw this group of galaxies. Its a galaxy triple group, all interacting, its not quite Mickey Mouse as in my previous post but yet still its amazing to see what these galaxies are up to.
A Cosmic Moustache? : )
