WISE has now observed the Galactic Center and is scanning into small positive longitudes. All of the frames near the Galactic Center have such a high density of objects that the automated astrometry pipeline failed, but the raw images show good image quality with at most a few percent of the pixels saturated. With last night’s deliveries WISE crossed over 500,000 framesets and has covered 40% of the sky.

Today meet 100 days in space.
Hope to WISE , continue smoothly and that consumption of hydrogen coolant is lower than expected, so you have more time obtaining data.
happy day for all team.

When WISE fulfils its mission and begin to heat up, the mission could be extended. Gradually sloping the WISE axis up to 30 degrees to the interior of the orbit of the Earth to see areas of Lagarange L4 and L5. Perhaps even achieve discover some Trojan asteroids or some NEOS more.
At a distance of 1 AU, Sun much heated them and asteroids might even appear above the heat noise in the images.
Solar panels would even have 86 per cent of its energy, but will have to verify how much sunlight enters the telescope tube and if the antenna can maintain communication with Earth
